DHTML & Javascript game:
Currently implemented in Java. Code base available to winner as specification. Seriously interested parties will receive access to a demo account, and can demo and play the game to develop their bids. We want this to run in a browser, no applets. Ideally, no flash although this could be considered.
Think of it is a "Tetris Style" game on it's side, that exercises typing skills. Words are chosen in order from a user selected passage. Blocks containing these words are streamed left to right on a play field one or more at a time. The student types these words into a box and hits return. When a word is typed correctly, it's removed from the playing field. The game adapts and speeds up or slows down based on skill level and performance during game play. Skill level is an input. When words stack up to touch the left side of the screen the user loses. If the user successfully types all of the words, then they win. Accuracy is accounted for, failed words, etc. Words can be capitalized (if they appear so in the passage) or contain punctuation.
## Deliverables
The functioning code we can provide will be the specification.
We are looking for good responsive code, for a good game experience. The game will be required to communicate with a back end server, via AJAX or other technologies. We can handle this part if the hooks are left in place. Or we would consider a follow-on contract for this work if the party is interested.
Attached is a screen shot of the current game implemented in Java.
