CurrentPrice and MinimumBid Functions for Auction Site

I am looking for an algorythm, similar to what eBay has to determine the current price and minimum bid for an auction item. Attached you will find 3 functions in VBScript: GetMinimumBid GetCurrentPrice GetBidStep These functions need to work with multiple items and multiple bids and need to return the correct amount. The attached functions (GetMinimumBid and GetCurrentPrice) already work if there's a fixed "bid step" amount. But I now want to make the bid step a function of the current price. The problem is, right now the current price is a function that takes the bid step as a parameter. It should work like this sample auction: 1) Start price is $100, Quantity = 2 2) Bid step according to the table = 2.50 3) No bids -- Current price = 100 4) No bids -- Minimum bid = 100 ----------------------------- 5) 1 Bid -- Current price = 100 6) 1 Bid -- Minimum bid = 100 ----------------------------- 7) 2 Bids -- Current price = 100 8) 2 Bids -- Minimum bid = 102.50 ----------------------------- 9) 3 Bids -- Current price = 102.50 10) 3 Bids -- Minimum bid = 102.50 ----------------------------- 11) 4 Bids -- Current price = 102.50 12) 4 Bids -- Minimum bid = 105 ----------------------------- 13) 5 Bids -- Current price = 105 14) 5 Bids -- Minimum bid = 105 ----------------------------- 15) 6 Bids -- Current price = 105 16) 6 Bids -- Minimum bid = 107.50 ----------------------------- and so on... the bid step should auto adjust according to the current price. It should also work with 1 item, etc. Take eBay as a reference. You need some math to be able to do this. I need this functions fixed ASAP.
