Advanced web form submission

need to recreate a webform that I have that users use to submit an event. It has minimal fields but I need a faster way to do this - and more user-friendly and better looking. The webform let's bands submit their gig schedule. The form asks for date of gig, venue location, and a description they can type right now, the date field is free form so users have to enter the correct format or they get errors - i want this to have a clickable calendar they can click the date the venue drop down selection pulls from a database of over 4000 locations - so it's a bit slow. But the bigger problem is that I want the band to be able to enter as many gigs as they want on a single form (instead of having to make them one at a time like they do now) they also need to have a link to register a new venue of they need to select a venue that isn't on the drop down if i like the work done on this page, i'll have more work/pages to redo the database used is MS Access and the website is done is classic ASP/vbscript with a bit of javascript. i'm ok with asp.net as long as it's vb so i can manage/change when needed
