ASP.NET Members Login

Overview: I am a windows software engineer that has numerous commercial products working flawlessly in the business world for over five years. The languages and tools I work with are C++, C#, SQL, crystal reports, and then some. I am learning ASP.NET and for the most part things have been going smooth until the login page. Most of my frustration comes from configuration of any part of ASP.NET. Code to Modify Specifications: <[login to view URL]> I want a portion of the web site to allow access to anyone. In the members subdirectory I want a login page for that directory. Any pages in the member directory will require a login. I am using 1.1 .NET IDE. I need to know exactly how the [login to view URL] files are configured and ANY OTHER file to make this work. I need to know which directories in IIS need to be configured for virtual. I need to know what settings for each directory in IIS to make the members folder area work. I don’t want to copy code behind dlls to the members bin directory. Please don’t simply say this is how it is done. I have been posting on forums and reading articles for the last three weeks and all are garbage. They sound good but then I download the example and they do not build. MORE CONFIGURATION PROBLEMS. <[login to view URL]> Contact me when completed with above sample. If I can NOT get to build on my machine then I will require you to connect to my computer using MSN remote help or pcanywhere and demonstrate what setting I missed. Coding is easy but this IIS configuration is a nightmare. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows XP development then moved to ASP.NET hosting service. Windows XP IIS.
