I have a slider control(.htc file) which should read a variable on the server and update the value of that variable on 1 or more clients connected to the server. The clients should have the ability to change the value of this variable as well. This variable is stored in a directshow filter and in the registry as well on the server. The .htc control will be used in a ASP.NET webform which is written in VB.NET. This slider control is a .htc (HTML Control) embedded in aspx page on the server which will load on the client's computer when they visit the server page. The slider control will read the value of the variable(which is stored in the registry and the directshow filter on the server) and display the value. When the client changes this value by moving the slider bar, the control will raise a client side event(a call back function for javascript) and a server side event. The server side event will update the value of the new variable in the registry. The client side event will reflect the new value on the control. the slider on the other clients will also update the value since there iwll be a timer in each webpage. The timer will allow to post an event so that the slider will have the updated value of the variable.(RegCreateKey(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE,"Software\\Infrared\\MotionDetecor\\Ver1.0", &hk)) this is the registry key location where the variable is stored on server.I need this urgent with 1 client case working.I also have an alternate solution where I am using an ActiveX COM control on the server. All the COM control support a SetServer proc. I can provide the code for the ActiveX control but for some reason its not working. Microsoft certified professionals ONLY. If you have knowledge about ASP.NEt client call back and server call back this should be an easy task for you. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform win 2003 server, winxp for clients [I][1] need a fast solution which works!attached is a .htc control.
