Develop an App Running Script for Mac OS 10.11

Hi, I'd like to develop a OS X Automator to perform a few following simple functions at each night 2:00am. - Ensure connection to Network Drives at internal IP is active. If not active, connect. - Run a terminal command that will 'rsync' to a remote server. If you can set up the script, I will edit as necessary. My expectation is that you can build the Automator app to run the script automatically and install on our Mac and test, finalize any tweaks, and wrap up. In your bid, please provide how long you've been working with Mac/OSX and programming. Thanks
