Firstly, the App will allow user to take a photo (trigger image). Upon taking of photo, the user can superimpose media content on the photo.

When he has done so, he will select the scan function which activates the phone camera. The camera will detect the matching feature descriptor and the previous superimposed media content will appear.

Requires knowledge in OpenCV and Computer vision/image processing
