ANTA Natural Therapies App - Ongoing Development

Overview - How the app functions The app currently provides the public with a practitioner/therapist search facility that conveniently locates a suitable Natural Therapist/Practitioner in their area. The app also provides users with general Natural Therapy information to assist users learn more about which treatment options would suit them best. How app works? Using longitude and latitude coordinates set for each practitioner’s clinic location; the app uses the phone GPS system to determine the current location and presents the user with a listing of practitioners within and around their current location. The search area can be extended or reduced by setting the radius for the app to search. Static Information is also available to view/read which is accessible via in app links to each information document. New App Features – Required development The following items are being considered to improve the functionality, reach and appeal of the app. [login to view URL] Require new features be added to an existing app – CMS for content creation/publishing to app, advertising management platform (paid/unpaid ads) New App development features required: 1. Implement content management system to publish new Categories and content through to App. Enable editing/updating of content through server side integration with current DB 2. Update Information user interface to improve display of new content i.e. Natural Therapies, Treatments, News, and Research etc. 3. Advertising management module/platform 4. Social Media integration 1. Implement a content management system to allow for publishing of new content and more control over information/content displayed within the app. Adding more functionality to allow Administrator to add, update and/or delete categories, links, information and content. Currently, all natural therapy information is static text contained within the app and cannot be edited. We’d like more flexibility to manage content, utilising the existing Administrator site, DB and server side integration. 2. Information/content User Interface – Improve App Information and Content User interface to allow for the Categorising of new content into relevant Categories i.e. Natural Therapies, Treatments, News, Research etc. Consideration and propose suitable UI and navigation elements of each new information item added and how to present the new information to users. 3. Implement module/management system for advertisements within the app. Include an advertising module/platform into the app so that ads can be added manually or so that advertisements are managed automatically by the app. Positioning of advertisements within User interface will be key so that ads are discreet and not intrusive. Presented to the user based on interests/likes. 4. Social Media integration Integrate social media module/functions into app i.e. logging into preferred social media for ease of access, save preferences and to share information easily.
