The basic idea of the application is a android application that sits on a device and acts as a “server” to which other android “clients” can connect to. However this server app will allows clients to connect via three different means so this application should be able allow these connections, the three different methods are: wifi, nfc, and Bluetooth.
WIFI:
1. Server application would be running on the server android device
2. Client application would connect to the same wifi / network that the client device is on after which it could then communicate with the server on the server android device.
3. Once it has communicated with the server device the client and server device can then begin communicating.
4. The client side app will have to a means of detecting that the server side app is on the the same network / wifi
5. Once the two have connected the both the client side application and the server side application with need to indicate that they have now both connected to eachother.
6. The server side app will need to display information on the client, and the client side will need to display information about the server side it has connected to.
BLUETOOTH:
1. Server application would be running on the server android device
2. Client application would connect to server device via bluetooth
3. Once it has communicated with the server device the client and server device can then begin communicating.
4. Once the two have connected the both the client side application and the server side application with need to indicate that they have now both connected to eachother via blue tooth
5. The server side app will need to display information on the client, and the client side will need to display information about the server side it has connected to.
NFC:
1. Server application would be running on android device
2. Client application would connect to server ap via nfc
3. Once it has communicated with the server device the client and server device can then begin communicating.
4. Once the two have connected the both the client side application and the server side application will need to indicate that they have now both connected to eachother via nfc
5. The server side app will need to display information on the client, and the client side will need to display information about the server side it has connected to.
