Detecting bad/malicious URLs using machine learning

Work in several banks in computer security and make an application for this purpose to report when phishing cases were detected. Hi, depending on your data, we could try to fit different types of models to see which one has a better performance. It could be a naive bayes classifier or something more robust like a SVM maybe. I would perform multiple cross-validation tests in order to assure you which model could be a better classifier. Also, I think that it would be useful to generate a vector of features that could represent some of the most important characteristics in an url, so besides the model you could have which things are important for the model to decide if a link is or not a malicious one.
