Build some web apps, and test a new backend web services platform! - repost
$2-8 USD / hour
I'm looking to hire a ROCKSTAR developer to help beta test a new backend development platform.
To be very clear, the job here is NOT just to build a web app. It is to build a series of small web apps with the express purpose of testing a pre-release backend web services platform. That means you'll be writing code against incomplete documentation. You'll be updating your SDK build daily (or coding directly against a RESTful set of web services). You'll be finding bugs - sometimes blocking bugs. You'll be working with an imperfect backend product - and that's why we need you.
You are an experienced developer who loves to hack and tinker. If you find an issue, you love to find a repro - and then you love to work with other devs to help them get it solved. You think outside the box, but within the constraints of pre-release software.
You'll be building several apps on this project - none with UI and probably none to be shipped. Instead you'll be writing photo album apps, and geo-aware apps. You'll help us understand where we suck and where we don't - and the app-writing will simply be a means to an end.
This will be a month-long project, and we'll gauging success by the volume and quality of bugs filed, not by the web app code quality. We want your feedback on the first-run experience, on the support experience, on the platform functionality and whether or not you'd recommend the platform. If you've ever used Parse, StackMob, Kii, Kinvey or similar - then we'd especially love to hear from you.
We'll take as many hours per week as you can offer - and can fit in the next 4 weeks. Sound interesting? Respond with "I'm a web dev ninja!" at the top of your reply so I can filter out the spam.
Let's get coding!
