I would love do this job! Comic books is the best freelancer job a designer/illustrator can get in my opinion. I have made my own comics since I was a kid. I don't know whta kind of illustration do you need, but I know technique such as charcoal, crayon, digital, and watercolor (it is kind of rough, though). Hi -- a fellow Canadian:) -- I'm a professional illustrator, concept designer and 3d artist -- I have experience in film, television, games, comics and books. I'd be interested in the opportunity to discuss your comic -- what kind of genre this is (you list "mature" in the description). If you have any comic artists whose style you like and would be looking for. (like anyone who read comics in the 90s I'm heavily influenced by Jim Lee). But when Illustrating I like to work with a 5 step process. You get to have input and provide feedback at every step to make sure you get the image you want! Step 1 Thumbnails -- a variety of loose, very simple sketches to give you an idea of what I'm thinking. Step 2 Sketch -- you pick what you like from the thumbnails and provide feedback and I send you a sketch -- more detail, but still black and white Step 3 Black and White -- Details are firmed up based on feedback Step 4 Colour -- More detail added -- colour added Step 5 Final -- you get to see the final image. I like to include one round of revisions in case there are any details you'd like changed/added to things not previously approved.
