My name is Nicholas Straughan. I'm a developer based in Montreal, Canada. Based on the description you provided, I believe myself to be a prime candidate for the project. In order to improve performance, I will: - Concatenate and minify all JS. - Minimize bloat in existing code. - Optimize all theme-related images (and content images if possible) - Leverage Server-side and Client-side caching. - Lazy load anything that isn't immediately necessary when loading a page (improves perceived performance) - Securely backup original site, and work only from a local instance of the web site & database. Hi, About myself: I'm working for a web site development company tho I am writing you as a freelancer. If your CMS is not Prestashop or Drupal (if were talking about most popular CMS's) or custom made then probably JS minifying or css minifying will not resolve the problem. Mostly it could be long file request times or unoptimized images (with useless color packets and information saved in them etc.). If you wish to know more you can message me the sites link and I can audit it and tell you the problem (in hope you will hire me) before accepting the job.
