Job description:
I want to design and build a tap for the bathroom which is completely controlled via a mobile app. I want the device to automatically fill a bath to your desired temperature – save you water level and temperature preferences and stop the water when it is full automatically.
I want it to be able to measure the temperature of the water flowing into the bath(via some levelling measure of ultrasonic device). Adjust the taps so that you can reach your desired temperature. I need it to be able to use the depth of water data to stop tell the device to stop the water flow when the desired level is reached.
Run a bath at optimal temperature - Digital thermometers for measuring the actual bath temperature.
Measuring water level - Ultrasonic or some sort of laser possibly
Maybe: An LCD/LED display to select the preferences for temp and water level within the family household.
Final
I would like to hear your ideas on how I can incorporate these ideas into one streamline design system.
I need this device to be able to replace an existing tap but be a SMART tap.
To summarise I have two objectives:
1) Design and build core tap device which can control water in the normal fashion but also but connected to a wifi network to allow the user controlling the app to use the tap
2) Design and build a simple app which allows the user to register their device on their wifi network. That network then becomes associated with that device and the consumer has unique control of their tap. Required option are temperature: hot, mild and cool. Level: full, half, custom.
Please let me know timelines, cost and feasibility.
