Build a Website

Objective: This project consists of an online directory for the 22 Arab League Countries, listing the companies with services/products accredited as Green. This Directory will connect the companies to facilitate their business across these countries and will connect the general public interested in this market with the companies as well. Guidelines: 1. User friendly platform for efficient searching. Our guideline has been the google search system for being very clean, nice to use web page and giving always a result (even when given one keyword). 2. Very “clean” homepage: easy to understand, with the “search” area very visible to target the user. It’s important to design the pages always repeating the main structure (top banner and the footer). We think the search banner should always be present in all pages. 3. Our Partners visibility is very important. They have to always appear in the most convenient space for that. They are 4 logos. Our future sponsors will also need a space on the page, but they should be kept separate . (Take this into account) 4. Search results: There are 2 kinds of Companies: Basic and Premium: Basic listed companies will appear with basic information: name, city, country and the categories related to their products/services. (These companies will have the opportunity to pay to upgrade their status to “premium”. Otherwise they will be listed very simply) The Premium companies will be provided with a whole page to show their product/services, their logo, their credentials (if any), will be able to upload photos, videos, and with a click be connected to their email, and share (twitter, facebook, linkedin, etc) The results should appear giving priority to the Premium listed Companies (including location, map), then the rest of the Companies with a simple listing of basic information. (see [login to view URL]) 5. The platform will be designed to be interactive with the companies to update information or “get listed”. The data will be stored by Company, by Category, by City and by Country. The visitor should be able to search by any of these. Either using the simple search with a keyword, or using advanced search. These fields will also be used to refine the search. 6. There will be advertisement from the companies and or from other sources. This is mandatory all over the website. The spaces for this are to be decided where it’s most convenient. 7. We would like to have features companies on the home page, to be designed.
