Hi, I have been designing production systems using data coming out of Sage and Microsoft Access as a reporting tool for some 18 years. II have even exploded bills of material down 3 or 4 levels. I have worked for Bylada who makes frozen food in New York. I have done production planning systems for a subsidiary of Shiseido, for a manufacturer of wipes, for a manufacturer of hair accessories, and for Multipliar a manufacturer of cell phone batteries.( just to mention a few) In general I have been writing reports for over 20 years for Sage 50 and Sage 100, using Access as my programming tool. I have worked for close to 500 companies over the years on projects large and small. Of course besides reports, I create all sorts of programs using Access. A production planning tool is in fact much more than a report with Access because you really have to write a program. I just completed an inventory report for a clothing importer. He exports his Sage order,purchase order, and inventory files to Excel and I consolidate all the data into one report that shows his available to sell.
