Hello! I have wide experience in embedded systems developing, so your project can be completed with high quality and in time. What kind of MCU do you have? I suggest to use Microchip PIC MCU. It is possible to use DS18B20 as digital temperature sensor. It will provide good accuracy and it is simple to implement in a prototype. Hi, I am a new to Freelancer but my acquaintance with circuits and electronics projects has been long since my college program. I have been part of circuit schematic and PCB design of boards for Atmega and PIC micro-controller and using these general purpose boards developed prototypes of projects such as multi-touch pad, Remote controlled fan speed controller, 32x24 Led display board controller etc. These projects have involved integration of multiple PCB boards to complete the whole prototype. During these projects I have come across with alphanumeric LCD interface, Decoders/Encoders to expand GPIO pins, serial interfacing, wireless Rx/Tx, Thyristors/opto-couplers to control AC lines and many other aspects of circuit prototyping. With this kind of experience and background of designing analog circuits for semiconductor company, I would like to put forward my proposal for this project. I am thinking to use micricontroller with ADC for temperature measurement like atmega, pic or attiny family depending on GPIO requirements and other details of project. I have just one word regarding a controller: Arduino Low cost, easy to program, lots of examples to follow...

I would use a controller that costs less than $40 USD, unless you have one that you prefer. I've done several projects with this type of controller and it works very nicely. It has more than enough digital and analog I/O to meet your project requirements. The controller can also control a stepper, though you indicate that you have done some of the stepper development already. The programming software would be provided for you, so that you can download programs to the contorller. A copy of the program, a parts list (colaborative effort), and circuit diagram would be provided. I'm new to freelancer, so I'm quoting a very competitive price so that I can get some projects under my belt and get some good reviews. I've been doing this type of work at my full time job for over 10 years. I would be very glad to do this project for you. It sounds fun!
