Dear Sir, I have seen you position advertised and would like to put myself forward for consideration for the post. I have been using CAD systems since I was 18 (approximately 23 years) starting on AutoCad R10. After about 6 years I was using CAD as an almost everyday occurrence both within industry and also for personal pleasure within the 2D environment. The natural progression was to develop 3D modelling skills which started in 2000 using Autodesk Mechanical Desktop and culminating in true 3D solid modelling packages such as Autodesk Inventor and Dassault Systemes Solidworks. As can be seen from the CV I acquired my City and Guilds 4351 in both 2D draughting and 3D solid modelling. Later in my career, due to my acquired knowledge and experience, I was to take on the role of lecturing these same courses alongside CAD modules within National Diploma and Higher National Certificate modules. As a designer within the Mechanical Engineering environment I have been developing not only products but codes of practice and company standardisation for approximately four years for two companies, following a methodical and logical approach to both my designs and the developed systems of work. The CAD systems I have used include:- AutoCad R10, R11, R12, R13, R14 AutoCad 2000, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2010 Autodesk Inventor R5, R5.3, R7, R8, R9, R10 Solidworks 2007, 2008, 2009 Thank you for your time.
