This project is to help create a Fresnel lens for a solar powered cook top to be sent to third world countries to reduce the safety and health risks of families. I need an aluminum mold machined by a CNC lathe to make a Fresnel lens out of either PET or PMMA (both thermoplastics). What I'm looking for is a computer program that can be read by a CNC lathe to make the mold required. the thickness of the material will be 2 mm and the diameter needs to be variable (as I'm not sure what size is required but we will start with a test piece of 100 - 200 mm in diameter). Here's the patent file for Fresnel lenses: [login to view URL] which should specify the basics for creating one.
