I registered with Freelancer in February this year and have 30 reviews, all positive. English is my first language and my skills include technical writing, editing and proofreading. I have ongoing freelance work editing papers for an online journal for translators and interpreters. I recently edited a 65,000-word science fiction novel and the client was so pleased with my work that he commended me to Freelancer. I have also just been asked to join the Preferred Freelancer Program. Other recent work has included proofreading five theses, as well as individual chapters of academic writing. For two years I was a copy editor for Elsevier Science Publishers in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, rewriting text by authors who were not native English speakers. I have worked with individual clients to bring 12 books to publication and three of these clients have rehired me to work on a second book. Having been a teacher of English in high school for several years, I have spent many hours making corrections and suggestions for students' essays. For an additional two years I was a teacher of English as a second language. For six years I have been a member of a writing critique group, regularly reviewing the stories submitted and occasionally writing my own. I would use the Track Changes tool for your document, inserting comments where necessary.
