Hello: I have recently finished reviewing a similar course for Native English speaker to learn Spanish and can help you with your course. I live and work in the US but I am a native Spanish speaker with engineering and technical background but have excellent grammar, spelling and punctuation in Spanish. I am located in Western NY and from my experience the most difficulties that an american student faces to learn Spanish is the quality of Spanish taught and that the student usually does not have opportunity to practice. I hope I can work for you, please let me know if you need more information about me. Kind regards.

Hello, my name is Ryan Dickinson. I am a college graduate with degrees in Spanish and history and in the fall I will be starting law school. This past year I lived in Thailand where I was a high school English teacher. During this period I became TEFL certified. I believe I am uniquely qualified to complete this project. I am a capable and almost fluent Spanish speaker who has experience speaking in dialects from both Spain and Latin America. In college I even studied abroad one summer in Seville where I completed a homestay. Additionally through my time as a teacher I gained invaluable experience lesson planning and brainstorming effective language practice activities. I know I am new to Freelance and do not have an established reputation, but I can assure you that given the opportunity I will dedicate myself entirely to this project. If needed, I would be more than willing to send you my resume. Thank you for your time. Please contact me if you have any questions and I look forward to hopefully hearing from you in the future!

Dear madam, I am a Translator (English-Spanish) and Proofreader of texts in Spanish. I speak Latin American Spanish and live in Buenos Aires. My experience lies in teaching English as a second language. Regarding my experience with Spanish, it is based on proofreading and editting. From my point of view, the main difficulty that American students of Spanish face is the study of the Spanish verbs and their conjugation. Sincerely Virginia

My mother tongue is Spanish. I'm Argentinean so my command of Spanish is specifically Latin American. I've been teaching Spanish for a couple of years now, tutoring both in real life and over the internet to people that speak English. I believe the main difficulties an American student of Spanish faces are the verb conjugations - since they don't have those in English, it is very difficult for many students to understand them and get them right. Cheers.

I have an excellent combination of skills for this project: I have been teaching Spanish to Americans for 20 years. I taught both adults and teens in all levels of Spanish. I traveled to Spain numerous times, and I stayed for extended periods in several Latin American countries. My knowledge of language extends to English, as I also hold an advanced degree in English with teaching certifications for both languages, ESL, and online instruction. In addition to Spanish and English teaching in public education, I am preparing to enter Technical Communication. Therefore, I understand how to write instructions, write text books, design web pages, design learning modules, and much more related to making information easy to understand and navigate. After viewing your examples, I see many issues that I can fix. The style is too elevated for every audience, for one. Additionally, individuals wanting to learn a language do not necessarily know what a tag, a superlative, or even an adjective is. One very important element for Americans learning a foreign language is word order. They need to see how the words move to new places. They also need the examples in everyday language: Most people don't talk about Columbus daily, and most Americans don't know who Carlistas are. Finally, the examples mix up a lot of tenses together-- confusing. I can fix this and more easily. Contact me for my full resume with past employers and current MA in Technical Communication skills and references.
