Ensure the server delivers all page requests error free.
CURRENT ISSUES
1) Broken links
htaccess and base URL review to ensure consistency and to remove redundant paths from URL such as ‘drupal’ and/or ‘content’. The current server installation is a bit different now than before on the old server and is causing problems. fckeditor tries to 'fix' relative URLs but uses the ../../../ method which seems to break the link, and there are inbound link errors caused by the shift in base URL.
Alias or redirects may be needed.
2) Fragmented file storage
Image files are stored in different locations. A single method to upload and insert images when creating html pages is required.
The site is currently hosted by a rackspace cloud server in the US and it is fast, but costs too much. A server designed for drupal in the US or Europe might be able to deliver the fast load times at a lower cost. We are open to suggestion, see next para:
We would like, if possible, one person (organisation) to be responsible for hosting, load speed and SEO, and that person should be a drupal expert.
So in summary we need a complete audits to identify and fix invalid links, etc.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
1) Error free, according to google webmaster tools.
2) A performance standard defined by the linkchecker module
3) Audit the use of metatags, page_title, cleanURLS etc within the site, directing my attention to pages whose metadata are imprecise.
4) With attention to these details, return the site to the first page on google for key terms 'recumbent bicycle' and 'recumbent bike'
5) If a hosting service is proposed in combination with site management and SEO functions outlined above, then the output of this URL ( [login to view URL]://www.cruzbike.com&treeview=0&column=objectID&order=1&type=0&save=true ) will be used to assess performance: load times under 4 seconds are excellent; under 5 seconds are satisfactory.
