Hi, Looks a very interesting project, I would love to do it. It will take a bit of doing but but it will work. I am not allowed to send files unless you contact me first but, if you do, I will do a bit of sample work on your files, starting with concatenating month and year of purchase with the customer's name, then using =countif . I have been developing applications in both Access and Excel for 20 years with extensive use of advanced functions, formatting, static and dynamic charting, VBA and event programming. The basic structure of the input data will remain same so that you can load this each time when you have something new. For each of the 10 reports we will write codes in the background. These will be linked with 10 diferent buttons in front end. Each time you press, it generates the reports for you. Now here are my comments on the reports you have sent. 1,2. Company/Consumer Customer Purchase: Firstly the data needs to be processed in a different format to create the report you want. Our macro code can do that. Customername MONTHSINCEPURCHASE_1 Monthssincepurchase_2...............etc X 1 1 0 0 Y 1 1 1 1 The above format is the intermediate format based on which we will generate the numbers you are looking for. 3,4. New Customer : Based on the first purchase month, our code can determine the total number of new customers in each month. 5,6 Cohort purchase: Here also our code will process the data in such a way that we first get month-wise unique customer details. That will be 100% and then in subsequent months the recurring customers will be counted for the percentages come back. Very much clear. 7,8 Cohort orders: In case of average number of orders its very much similar framework like 5th and 6th report. However I have a question on average cohort month X number. Here it is average of the diagonals in your report structure right? So you want to see average of all months1s, average of all month2s, etc. ? 9,10Cohort order values: Similar to 7th and 8t

I'm currently a grad student in applied statistics and teach it and other subjects, including Excel. I've been working for 40 years so am not a kid. :-) I see your files but will have to have to either talk with you or exchange emails to be sure I do what you need. One important question is what changes from month to month? Do these reports need to be re-run as though they are new or do you want some sort of update function? How will new data appear every month? Before I start I would want you to show me an input file to start with and a modified file that represents what next month's file will look like. That will clear it up. Difficult to say how long something like this will take but since I bid a fixed amount I'll guarantee to do it for that even if it takes me a lot longer than I think.. My time estimate is just a guess. Right now i'm very flexible and could work on it a lot. I start back to grad school in a month so the longer you wait, the busier I'll be and I'll have to fit it in among studying and my other consulting. Feel free to ping me with questions.
