Customer Support Specialist

This is a position in customer support for web applications. You will: 1. Respond to customer support request emails. Make sure you solve the users' problem. 2. Create and keep up an FAQ with all prior support requests and the answers to those requests. 3. Compile a daily report showing how many of each support request type was answered AND the full text of any support request you did not know the answer to (we will provide the answer and you will need to add it to the FAQ). 4. Respond to support questions on forums and other spaces where our users interact. Make sure there is no spam on these forums. Make sure you solve the users' problem. 5. Respond to users' general comments and feature requests (and relaying this data to us). 6. Carry out basic testing in response to user comments (e.g. to verify whether a bug exists). 7. Fulfill a short daily test on our applications to ensure that everything is working as expected. 8. Perform other small tasks that relate to resolution of customer issues. The role will initially require 21 hrs/wk (if things go well, we will increase this to 42 hrs/wk), but you will have to invest 3 hours each and EVERY day. While you will be able to set your own hours within each day, we will require you to be accessible by txt msg or phone in case something urgent arises. We will also need to know when you will be online (via google calendar) and be able to contact you via skype/gchat/AIM/YAHOO/MSN When you apply for this position, submit 2 written samples to show your English writing skills (150 words each). You will be bidding for the first two weeks of the position which will become permanent if you are good Some of the first week will be dedicated to training. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
