Build a USB communication Module to work in the background

Bonjour, I'm a technical consultant and systems engineer specialising in C++ (2 decades of corporate engineering experience). I used to work for Barco in Kortrijk, in Blemgium; Thales from France and many Japanese consumer electronics manufactureres such as Sony , and Ericsson, British Telecom etc. Your requirement is relatively simple as the manufacturer-supplied library/DLL does most of the work anyway. Only question I have is - would we have access to the device, to actually test the software as we go along(make progress with each functionality).? Also, what versions of Windows is this to run on please? Look forward to hearing from you.

I have recently written a Windows Service that runs continuously in the background monitoring text files and communicating with a serial connected device based on the text files contents so I am very familiar with what is involved. I would provide a setup package along with the compiled Windows service, for simple installation on one, or many PC's. Hello, I have read your project specification and had a look at the documentation and sample code for the LS-9000. I can write the necessary software as a VB.net application. I have experience with VB and C# programming from previous work, so this project can be done within the given timeframe. Once you have confirmed the project, I plan to send you the work within a couple of days. That allows us enough time to sort out any bugs once you have tested it with the actual LS-9000. You will be given both the application and the source code at the end, as requested. Just to recap your requirements: the module should listen for a text file with Start, Stop or End commands, and then control the micrometer instrument accordingly, via USB. As for payment, I do request that you create a milestone payment before I send you a test copy of the module. However, you only need to release the payment once the work is completed. hi, i've read your document and check your sample program i want to ask you 1. The Start/Stop module is started from within the main application --> so the start/stop module and main application in 1 application right? 2. , the module must continuously monitoring the presence of a text file. This file is created by the Main application --> Why do you use a text file to communicate between 2 module in the application? you just send parameter in 1 module to other module in 1 application but if you want to do this, no problem, i can do it, but it will need more process in your PC i can simplify the process, when main application will create the text file, i will add code to send parameter to start/stop module, so this module will open the USB connection between application and the LS-9000 measuring instrument if you want to discuss more, just chat me thanks
