I need an ATL control that I can embed on a webpage, that could be called via script like this: <javascript> [login to view URL]("[login to view URL]"); </javascript> The control should raise events concerning the download status (i.e. to allow me to make a progress bar on the host (html) page) The ATL control should NOT make use of MFC, so it can be as light weight as possible with no dependencies. I will need the source for the control, and a simple test .html page showing that it works. Thank you.

I have not used ATL or COM before but I think I could probably figure it out. I have however used C++ extensively and also have some experience of Windows programming. Conicidentally I have used HTML and JavaScript.
