Convert custom VB6 application to .Net

Hello, Well, I'm expert-level .NET developer who is working for such kind of conversions periodically, for many reasons, including I like significantly redesign and improve original VB6 code. Please, look on my working history page here, there are some samples of such projects (various, small and large) I've completed successfully on this site. The largest project was for several months and had lot of forms, tons of code etc. I hope you understand that such 'conversion' can't be a just semi-automatic conversion but should be redesigned according to features of .NET (classes, interfaces, data collections, another approach to GUI etc). So it's the part of actual worth work I'm doing well) By the way, no 'automatic' tool helps with VB6 to .NET conversion at all, but does provide confusing only... I do utilize my own approach for a conversion, based on my code templates, code snippets, accurate 'step-by-step' conversion to be sure that logic of original application is porting. But we need have an original VB6 application, which is working and may be compiled (with VB6 in the MS Visual Studio 97) Ok. So, I've posted my preliminary bid to know more details and start our communication and discussion of this project. (the final price may vary depends on these details. For now, I know nothing about amount of work even, number of code lines, modules, forms etc. In some cases, it may be better if we split the project on several phases even) Regards, Igor

Hello, I have spent the last 2 years doing full time VB6 to VB.Net conversion. I am currently between jobs and would love to complete this for you. I have what I consider a highly advanced knowledge of COM programming from a C#/VB.Net perspective. I have re-compiled the adobe COM libraries to suit the needs of my clients in the past. I also understand the pitfalls and special considerations one must make when writing reliable COM interop code. I have a light experience with PDQ for sending emails, but it was on a small contract from years ago. I recall that it is simple to work with and should cause no issues when converting.
