Hi. Your bug is related to the event handling system. Your list of categories invokes a handler probably on OnSelectedIndexChanged event. Once you click on the list and navigation service takes you to the page with all items from selected category, your SelectedIndex property of the list which contains categories (on previous page, from which you navigated from) is set to the index of clicked category. So, when you come back to that page and click the same item again, SelectedIndex property is being set to the same number, which doesn't rise OnSelectedIndexChanged event. I am interested in long term collaboration on this kind of the stuff. Let me know do you want me to fix the problem you have. Cheers!

Interesting issue - looks like the event is not being set properly on the list item when clicking back. Does it only occur on the category list? Do you have the source code in a repository I can check out before you accept my bid? Thanks, James.

Windows Phone 8 development is always my cup of tea. Below is the solution for your problem. Hope it will help you to fix the problem. As the behaviour of the bug you have described and the app has, I think it is the problem with the list you are showing. The list must be doing its work of navigation on the SelectionChanged event. The default behaviour of the SelectionChanged event is that it fires every time when the selected item is changed. When you navigate forward and then to the back, the selected item remains same and clicking on that does not alter the currently selected item. So the event will not fire up as expected. As a solution to this bug write the single line of code at the end of your SelectionChanged event handler : If it is a C# code, write <YOUR_LIST_NAME>.selectedIten = null; or if it is a VB.NET code, write <YOUR_LIST_ITEM>.selectedItem = Nothing Having 2 years of experience in windows phone 8 and windows 8 RT app development gave us confidence to solve this type of bugs very easily. And we have that capability to build this app from scratch. Looking forward to your further work on the same. Feel free to contact me any time. I would be able to work on this ASAP.

Hi! My name is Bogdan Bujdea and I'm an experienced Windows Phone developer. First, I'll answer to your question about the bug. I think that you have a list of items(book categories) and you navigate when the selection is changed. So when you click on "Arts & Photography", you have an event handler for SelectionChanged and then you navigate to that category. The problem is that when you go back, the item is still selected, so if you click on the same item, the SelectedChanged event won't fire again. It's a simple problem which I experienced in the past and it can be solved by setting the SelectedIndex to -1 when you navigate to a category. I haven't made any projects on freelancer.com, that's why I'm willing to charge you a lower fee than others and I can also help you promote your app using social media and understand your users by implementing Google Analytics. If you're interested in my bid, I can also send you my portfolio so you can see what projects I've done before. Best Regards, Bogdan Bujdea
