C/C++ (Linux) Code Review and Refactoring
$15-25 USD / hour
Seeking a C/C++ (Linux) programmer for an ongoing project (no more than $20 per hour and for 2 hours a day and 5 days per week) with the following phases:
1. Review legacy code in screen-sharing sessions with me to understand logic and flow with the only modification of adding comments to document our understanding and to create reminders of sections that need to be addressed at a later date,
2. Refactor parts of the code to replace certain sections / components,
3. Refactor the entire code set to make it more efficient, especially adding multi-threading when appropriate, and
4. Adding a very efficient structured logging scheme to create a real-time monitor of the health of the program and the input and output data.
This program needs to be extremely efficient, precise, robust, and low-latency. The programmer should be meticulous in his/her work and passionate about ensuring that everything is done to the highest standard. Good verbal communication skills in English will be required.
