I need a custom AutoLISP for coloring lines in blocks

I have varying AutoCAD blocks which have lines of the same length. I need these lines to be automatically moved to differing layers (which will then take care of the coloring thru layer assignments) This will be an expansion of a previous LISP I received. That routine does indeed work great, but I more-recently discovered that I can join some of the lines into polylines, thereby creating more objects of unique lengths/areas that can be more easily grabbed by LISP for layer assignments. I have attached an AutoCAD file that should explain what I'm after. The goal here is: select one or multiple blocks on the AutoCAD screen and do the layering without any further prompting. The blocks shown in the file are the simplest ones. More complicated blocks are waiting, but this routine I'm requesting will go a long way towards helping with those. I also want the LISP to be fully commented so I can understand what's going on; I'm trying to learn from this experience. I've had other suggestions, but they all involve, "pick here, pick there, open this, edit that..." That's NOT what I want. I DO want a one-click experience.
