Digital Audio Editing - Ringtones from full tracks

We need to create ringtones edits from full length tracks. Basically, it involves cutting out a suitable
section(s) from a song like chorus, intro, hooks etc. Anything that would sound good as a ringtone.
Edits need to be around 30 secs or less. Of course, with some songs there could 2-3 or more potential edits and
some might only have one, which would be suitable for a ringtone. Edits should be 'logical', so that they don't end
in the middle of a verse etc, so the length doesn't have to be exactly 30 secs.
For this project we have 30 tracks, which are cover versions of recent/current hits.
We have a large number tracks which need editing and our catalogue is growing, so sucessful candidate will have more work. Most of the tracks are covers of well known songs..
