ARCHIVE Global is a registered non-profit that works at the intersection of housing and health. With simple housing design interventions, ARCHIVE prevents the spread of infectious disease across the globe.
ARCHIVE is launching a new campaign, High Fives, that is targeting deaths of children under the age of 5 from diarrhea and parasites. Children under the age of five are one of the most vulnerable populations on our planet and over 3 million children die from infections associated with diarrhea every year. Children under five who face chronic diarrhea are highly susceptible to malnutrition, dehydration and stunted cognitive development.
Our pilot project in Bangladesh has shown that simply replacing dirt/mud floors with concrete can reduce childhood parasites by over 75%.
With a simple housing design and a strong partnership with a local organization the High Fives Campaign aims to replace 500 floors in 500 homes in Bangladesh by 2015.
For just $500, a donor can give the gift of a 5th birthday, and a new concrete floor.
ARCHIVE is looking for a creative and quick thinking motion grapher/film designer to create and develop a 1-2 minute short film to promote the High Fives campaign. As a non-profit that works in design and architecture, we are looking for someone who works in clean lines but creative and compelling story telling.
