Commission Tracking Software
$100-500 USD
Paid on delivery
I am an independent insurance agent, and myself and several other agents have been looking for a software that would allow us to input a policy when sold that shows the monthly amount we should be getting paid by each carrier per pay cycle. This does have several hang ups. Each carrier pays on different schedules, and the commission percentages change over time.
For example.
Mutual of Omaha pays 18% per year for first 6 years, pays a 12 month advance commission (full 12 months paid at once) on the first year, then pays 10% for years 7-10, and 1% per year afterward until policy is cancelled.
UnitedHealthCare pays 20% first year, with a 6 month advance, then pays 5% per year after until policy cancellation.
It would be optimal that each carrier line could be put in the system, grouped by carrier, with subgroups of policy type (because each carrier may have different types of policy that are paid differently), then could be selected by a dropdown after they were put into the system for ease of entry.
After entry, it should show the monthly total due, and monthly amount due per carrier, and be possible to pull up the monthly due per policy.
Policies should be able to be removed easily if cancelled.
It should also be capable of showing a "charge back" which is when an advance commission is cancelled before the months which were advanced have passed, and the insurance company is owed the money back.
I believe this could be accomplished using an access database, but lack the skill to do it myself.
