Academic Research on Soviet/Russian Space Industry (Russian Speaker Only)

I need someone who can research and write a short (probably not longer than 10-15 pages, double-spaced) analysis of innovation in the Soviet Union and Russia centered around the space industry. This would preferably be in English, but it could be written in Russian. This is obviously a huge topic, but I only need a very specific set of things. It cannot be a superficial overview and research should be done to specifically address the following question: What are possible reasons the Soviet Union (and now Russia) excelled and continue to excel in basic science and certain technological domains but lag severely in many other areas? One possibility I'm interested in exploring is that centralized innovation systems are often ideal for modular innovation (improvement to individual components) but handle architectural innovation (integration of different types of technology into the end product) poorly. The competing design bureaus in the Soviet space industry may have enabled more rapid progress in designs and modular improvements than the very centralized NASA approach, but this approach may have suffered when the integration of more technology from different industries became essential for success. Some evidence for this might be, for instance, a higher failure rate in the space industry for projects requiring higher levels of technology integration across many domains. If projects involving probes sent to other planets required the integration of more teams and components and had a higher rate of failure than manned projects, this would be one example. There may be other reasons you can find and I may be wrong in my hypothesis. If you can find other useful explanations or examples, these don't all have to be in the space industry. Any evidence that would help to answer the question of how the USSR/Russia's innovation structure affects end output is useful. In addition to the written brief, a few diagrams to highlight the structure of the innovation system of the space industry in Soviet times compared to other industries in the economy -- especially those with with significant structural differences -- and a diagram of Russia's innovation structure would be useful. You must be familiar with academic writing and research standards to take this project. Although not long, quality and accuracy in important. I need a full reference list and this cannot be copied from any existing text or Wikipedia. I will reject any work that is plagiarized or simply a translation of an existing article. The brief must address the points above and provide meaningful evidence for or against my hypothesis above. Russian sources are fine and likely almost all you will use/need (I can read Russian). Please include a full bibliography of cited work at the end. The purpose of this brief is to give me a starting point and references to see if this stream of inquiry is worth investigating further.
