Hello. Since Twilio offers javascript to control sms messages, I would think an apple script to send sms when a folder is updated is very possible. I would need an applescript that when a jpg file is added to a folder on the hard drive, an sms is sent to a phone number. To make it even more automated, I would like the phone number to be texted TO be pulled from the .jpg file title. For example, the jpg would be titled , so when saving this file to the specified folder, the folder action would connect to twilio (api - java) and send a text sms saying, "your file is available." Thank you for your interest in the project. Anyone proficient in java and twilio api should be able to knock this out.

I find myself having to delete all the files in a folder repeatedly. I would like to automate this task but lack the skills to create an Applescript or other comparable tool to: 1) create a new directory in a specific place with a folder name that includes the date 2) copy all the files in a specific folder to the newly created folder 3) delete all of the files in the specific folder.
We have an existing AppleScript that no longer works since Mojave. Happy to have the existing script updated, or maybe a newer more efficient script created. Here is what the script does: 1. Check for mounted share points, if they aren't mounted then it will mount them 2. Make sure required applications are open 3. Check a hot folder for InDesign files 4. Open InDesign file in InDesign Server and export a high res and a low res version 5. Append each with _LR or _HR depending on if high res or low res 6. Send a _HR version to an FTP folder that is mounted as a share point 7. I am a photoretoucher that occasionally needs simple scripts to automate my processes. For this project I need a super simple applescript that will duplicate a selected file "x" number of times and append the file names of those duplicated files with the text from either column A OR column B of a numbers document named "FileNames". Ideally the script would only duplicate the number of entries in the specified column.

Need to port an that utilizes QuickTime to format audio files to something portable to Python on Windows 10. The current AppleScript remaps and renames audio channels in QuickTime using com.apple.quicktime-movie, mp4. I think this can/should be done in Python with FFMPEG. I want to be able to select a file in the Finder, drag it over the Applescript applet, open that file in BBEdit and then within BBEdit run the two top commands in the screenshot (01 Punctuation and 02 English Spellings). Then the file is renamed. I will be using the applet to work on subtitle files. So the renaming of the file will be adding "pk" before the . extension of the file. For example, I select a file name "40 Pounds of Trouble (1952)." and when the applet has opened the file and run the two text filters in BBEdit, the file then needs to be renamed to "40 Pounds of Trouble (1952).".

I need a script that will take the photos selected in Photos and remove them from the Photos Library and move the referenced photos into the trash. Here is why. I have a large Photos Library. All the photos that where imported were left in place in a Master Photos folder on an external drive. When I delete photos from within Photos it only deletes the reference within the Photos Library and does not delete the original photo in the Master Photos folder.

I am a visually impaired Mac user who depends heavily on a good screen reader. I am very familiar with VoiceOver. However, it is not ideal for low vision users like me. I’m needing an Applescript to only speak anything that is currently under the mouse pointer. If it can be a script that would only activate while pressing a customizable keyboard shortcut that would be the best. Or, the next best option would be a simple shortcut to instantly toggle reading the items under the pointer on and off. Also, if there could be a way to adjust speaking rate, and language based on MacOS speech preferences that would be a huge bonus. I'd like someone to write me a little Applescript. I'd like to change all my macOS Calendar email alerts to alerting a different email address. I'd pay $20. As I look at the dictionary for Calendar in the Script Editor, I see you can change "url". Not sure if that will work. But if I change the email on my card in Contacts, new events will use that address. So maybe you could read, delete, and recreate the events.

Currently it scans for videos in a folder and creates a folder on the same level with the videos. I would like to 1. Nest that video folder. 2.
