Local excavation and trucking company needs a logo for equipment branding and advertising

Contest Brief

Command Grade Services LLC is a company located in Fort Worth, TX. The primary business is excavation and grading land for property improvement and development. Ancillary business is trucking, mostly to support the primary business, some outside hauling. I need a clean, professional logo that doesn't include overt images of "tools of the trade" (i.e. dump trucks or excavators). We are interested in keeping a highly professional image that allows expansion into other areas of related business without having to re-brand the company.
The logo will be used immediately to mark all equipment including semi-trucks, excavators, and trailers, so we are looking for an impactful logo that lends itself well to vinyl appliqués of various sizes, ranging from a few inches diameter up to two feet. Due to regulatory requirements, the logo must include the entire company name: Command Grade Services LLC.
The owner prefers colors complimentary to the construction category. The background color of the machines is black and orange. Geometric and organic designs welcome, it is desirable that the logo be easy to embroider on clothing items as well. Patch-like logos are welcome.
