Contest Brief

For this contest, I need 20 illustrations for a children's book.

As part of the contest itself, I need one drawing of the main character and one drawing of the main character in a kindergarten with other children. I will use this to assess your style an see if it matches what I am looking for.

It is OK if your style is simple and it's OK if you do not color it as part of the contest, but the final 20 illustrations must be colored.

I like the style of Curious George (example attached)

And also attached photography for the main protagonist. A three-year-old brave and adventurous girl.

The contest amount is for all 20 illustrations. There is no deadline.

I'm not going to participate myself, but on behalf of my fellow children's book illustrators, please #increaseprize - $10/illustration (especially for a contest!) is a disrespectfully low amount for something artists usually spend hours on; the contest will not attract many talented folks otherwise.

  Dear Bettina. I am doing this privately as a passion project and that is what I can pay. I otherwise agree with your view on this, but the alternative is to not do it at all. I understand if the limited budget means people cannot prioritize my project.
