Contest Brief

Need a mock-up webpage for a fictional lifestyle and relationships blog called So Afrique. This will not be published on the web so no real functionality required. Goal is for placement in a fiction short story in Word document so will need compatible format. Should feature site elements including:

1) Header: logo/site title SO AFRIQUE
2) Navigation bar/menu with “link titles” to HOME, LIFESTYLE, RELATIONSHIPS, LINKS, ARCHIVES, and a Search field with magnifying glass icon.
3) Main Content column – link chain, date, post headline: THE AFRICAN GIRL’S GUIDE TO DATING IN THE DMV, social media links, post text (provided by client), insert of a photo of a loving black couple preferably in African attire (please source from sites allowing for free or fair use)
4) Sidebar / Scan columns – top right corner: ABOUT ME section, column of faux banner ads underneath about relationship services, romantic movies, marriage counseling
5) Footer

I have written content to be inserted once initial design agree upon and would like final format to be in a text editable file in case future changes are necessary. I can email my rudimentary template (created in Word) just to show placement of blog page elements.

Color/style: Mixture of indigo blue and hot pink for titles and frames. Titles in sleek font, think logo for Sex and the City. White background through main content column. Logo can be text based with some art elements. Since it is an advice site, page should look clean and sophisticated with some playful elements to show that the writer is human and empathetic.

Require high resolution final file. Option for review and at least 3 revisions included in initial order. Timeframe: 3 days
