Contest Brief

We are about starting a company that sells colours/paints with special effects amongst others. These products are well known for the sector of custom painting car/motorbikes tuning. They are also widely used for industrial products, decorative products, jewellery, textiles etc. With these kind of paints, companies can give a special touch to their products. They also serve for clients how wants to individualize their bikes, chair, table and so on. We also will provide paint products for body art (body painting, makeup art) and accessories as for example airbrush, compressors, etc.

Special effect means: pearl/blacklight paints/metallic/fluorescent paints/chameleon paint/chrome paints/ candys, etc.

We provide on one hand the e-commerce and on the other hand we provide expert advice to the clients in order to find the adequate product and regarding the procedures of application. The goal is to offer the newest, most innovative and most exotic paint products to clients/markets that cannot be found easily.

We have the intention to sell further products not related to paints, but in line with the sector´s interests.

Clients: Mainly B2B (wholesale dealer and retailer)

The name of the company will be ColourFoX. The word FoX does not only refer to the animal, but also to the fact that FX is an abbreviation for effects, attributing to the special effects. Therefore it can be played with the word FoX.

The primary use is for the website, online ads, but it should also work for print medias (letterhead, business card).

Feel free to choose colours and capital or non-capital letters. We require the logo to be unique, catchy, fresh professional but not too formal/classy. Maybe an illustration of a coloured fox’ head can be implemented along with the company’s name in an attractive font.

Please keep in mind that the logo must be legible as a grayscale (black and white) version as well as colour. We want a unique and original logo design, nothing borrowed from other services or stock, etc. It will need to be print ready and the photoshop/illustrator documents etc. are needed.

Being a start-up, branding/colours, etc. are not decided yet, so prototype examples in different colour schemes/themes are very much appreciated. Help us to discover the right branding and make us falling in love with it ☺

Hi all, thanks for the proposals so far. We like the style of the lettering in most cases (no. 8 and 10 most so far), but we are not convinced about the illustrations. I will add some examples of logo with foxes that we liked to the briefing above. but please don´t copy. and we won´t detract your creativity, so if you come up with a different, amazing idea appreciate it. It should be fresh, attractive, catchy and quite simple.
