Contest Brief
I have four 2 minute CG animations that show a stylised representation of the Antarctic and Arctic regions (2 for each region). Accompanying each animation are two characters who discuss important topics, and the top-down animation is synchronised to their discussion, so that when they mention something (eg. the dwindling albatross population) we see animated albatrosses dying. Each chapter covers a different topic.
The four videos are here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/l3ear7kaaghtw6w/AAAGoXQW7shmyKUhuD6drHoSa?dl=0
I need simple, non-obtrusive background ambient sound design - NOTE: NOT MUSIC! - for all four videos, precisely synced to them. It is crucial that the sounds happen at the exact time they are seen in the animation. The sounds must not be distracting, loud, or disruptive and should not get in the way of the discussion the characters are having. Instead, it should help viewers understand what is being discussed (ie. when they discuss shipping vessels, we should hear a distant shipping vessel fog horn). A general background level of sea ambience should be heard throughout. In some stories, we see buildings being created, or oil rigs appearing - appropriate sounds for these should be found and used. You are responsible for clearing all license use of library sounds, so it may be preferable to use public domain sound libraries (but that is your choice). You must be able to provide me with all licensing details for sounds you've used.
The contest is to provide all four sounds as 2 minute stereo .WAV files. You can send compressed MP3 versions, as long as upon winning you can send the fully uncompressed versions. Ideally, I'd also like the multitrack project that you used to build the audio in, too (it doesn't really matter what software you used, as long as it is reasonably common).
All submissions should be sent to https://www.dropbox.com/request/tjRspJUACPOx9hh1a59I and a corresponding entry should be submitted to Freelancer. Please be sure to label your file submissions with your Freelancer username so I can track people down.
I'm happy to answer questions and clarifications as we go along, however the deadline is tight - Ideally I want to pick a winner before the 5th September please.
