Contest Brief

Hey,

I’m looking for an idea for a character driven action/adventure/military scifi series. Our main character(man) somehow ends up in a situation where he goes on adventures that involves a spaceship and him saving the day, earth, the galaxy. He can start alone or be part of a crew. It can start in the present day, but then there has to be a plausible scenario on how he comes in contact with advanced technology or start in the future at a point where humans on earth are advanced enough to travel space. The focus is on fights, challenges and conflicts that will have to be solved.

Do not submit plots for individual books but an overall idea which can be told over a series of a few books.

I dont want ideas to include:
- Aliens just fighting for habitable planets
- Aliens are robots/AI
- Aliens want to rule everything simply because
- Aliens want our water
- Aliens want to steal/harness the sun
- Time travel/parallel universe

I’m looking for a few paragraphs in which the general idea for the series is written down with a few key points(how the story begins and a little background information).

An important part is the reason for the conflict. If the aliens are aggressive or conquering the galaxy why are they doing it? I want to have a good reason for that and the conflict.
