Samus App Loading Icon Placeholder
Freelancer does not allow preview of animated gif. Here is link to the animated preview of the loading icon - https://media.giphy.com/media/3oEjHBs9h14DSoQtji/giphy.gif I kept it quite simple as you said you will have your own animator do the animation I think this will work great as a placeholder. The animated icon shows with a new screen just like hipmunk turns the screen white with the animation in the middle. The other way it can be replaced is fading the existing screen to dim and making the animation appear in the middle which can also be done with the current animation. The total frames of the animation is 16 which is not very high or very low so it shouldn't affect your app performance at all. Hope you like it :)
